The Lyngdorf CS-2 is a compact full range loudspeaker specifically designed for discreet placement inside cabinets such as lowboards, sideboards and TV furniture. For this purpose, the CS-2 is constructed with the bass reflex front-ported, while the tweeter is mounted both elevated and angled. This special tweeter placement reduces sound diffractions from furniture edges inside a cabinet and also improves sound radiation toward the listening area.
While the design and shape of the elevated tweeter is useful in most furniture, it seamlessly fits the Danish Clic audio/video furniture with its elegant fabric doors.
Best sound performance
The Lyngdorf CS-2 is based on the same midrange driver and tweeter as the CS-1 in a less wide but higher enclosure while achieving the same sound performance. Due to the front-ported bass reflex and a frequency range linear down to 42 Hz the CS-2 does not need the support of a subwoofer. The powerful 6.5” midrange driver is designed with a very strong magnet and together with the bass reflex the low-frequency performance is surprisingly powerful in such a small cabinet.
The speaker cone is made from aluminum, which is extremely light and stiff and designed with a single well- defined breakup point, which is easy to counteract in the internal filters. The textile soft dome tweeter with its special elevated and angled placement provides both clarity and impressive soundstage, even when the speaker is placed inside a side- board or furniture.
Constructed for in-cabinet
Designed for placement inside cabinets and furniture, the CS-2 is a solid MDF construction with a durable and easy to clean matte-black lacquer. Self-adhesive rubber pads are supplied with the speaker to prevent any scratches on the furniture surface and to absorb resonance between furniture and speaker.
The CS-2 comes without any front grille to allow for the clearest sound performance for example behind the fabric cloth doors of TV furniture. With its size, dimensions, and elevated tweeter the CS-2 perfectly fits into the dedicated audio/video furniture by Danish manufacturer Clic. For further information please visit www.clic.dk
